Information Stegkoll Accesses

• Step count data from Apple Health or Google Health Connect
• Motion and fitness data used to display activity information

Stegkoll uses this information to:

• Show your daily step count
• Display recent step history and progress
• Estimate distance and calories based on your steps
• Let you track progress toward your daily goal

Data Storage

Your health and activity data is processed locally on your device. Stegkoll stores limited app preferences, such as your daily step goal and whether you have completed onboarding, using local device storage.

Data Sharing

Stegkoll does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. The app does not include user accounts or social sharing features.

Apple Health & Google Health Connect

If you choose to connect Apple Health or Google Health Connect, Stegkoll reads your step data in order to display your activity in the app. Stegkoll does not use health data for advertising, marketing, or data mining purposes.

Data Retention and Deletion

All app data is stored locally on your device. We do not retain any data on our servers.

How to delete your data:

• All app data: You can delete all data stored by the App by uninstalling/deleting the App from your device. This permanently removes all locally stored preferences and settings.
• On Android: You can also clear the App's data via Settings → Apps → Stegkoll → Storage → Clear Data.
• Health permissions: You can revoke health data access at any time through your device's Settings (Apple Health or Google Health Connect).

Internet and External Services

Stegkoll is designed to function without requiring you to create an account. If future versions add online features, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

Your Choices

You can control access to health and motion data at any time through your device settings:

• Apple Health permissions (iOS)
• Google Health Connect permissions (Android)
• Motion & Fitness permissions

Children's Privacy

Stegkoll is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Security

We rely on Apple's and Google's platform security for on-device data. No method of storage is completely secure; we encourage you to keep your device updated and use device passcodes or biometrics.
